Dr Ado H Muhammad – Executive Director/Director, Global Health Research Consultant in Pharmaceutical Medicine
Dr Ado is a medical doctor with a postgraduate degree from the Institute of Orthopedics, University College London.
He moved into the pharmaceutical industry in 2002, first in early phase research setting and subsequently to late phase drug
development. He trained in Pharmaceutical medicine at the Royal college of Physicians England and University of Wales in Cardiff.
Dr Ado’s areas of expertise is in drug safety science in development and post-marketing. He served as a medical director of several
pharmaceutical companies in the UK, France, Sweden and Canada.
Mr Bala Sanusi – Director, Management (Admin & finance) International Management Consultant
Bala is the Director Africa Region of BMS Consultancy UK, responsible for sub-Saharan Africa region. He has been in
consultancy for 15 years, undertaking numerous and varied consultancy assignments in the areas of management and
organisational development, change management; and driving organisational performance to some of the top companies
in the world including – Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil and Cola-Cola. Bala holds an MBA and a Postgraduate in Management
Studies.
Kabir Sabitu – Head, Public Health research (Nonexecutive member) Professor of Public Health
Following graduation from medical school, Prof Sabitu started his academic career in A.B.U as an assistant lecturer
and subsequently becoming a fellow of the West African College of Physicians. He has attended several training and

Lecturer and focal person, N-FELTP A.B.U, Zaria
Professor Sabitu is a member to many professional bodies including
International and Indian Epidemiology Associations. He was the
Chief Examiner, assistant secretary and secretary in faculty of
public health West African College of Physicians and currently
Internal Assessor for all the Examinations and a member of
Council of the College. He was the Head of Department of
Community Medicine ABU Zaria.
He was also a Treasurer and National Vice President of APHPN. Prof Sabitu was
the National Treasurer of ACPN, current focal person PPRINN/MNCH project and
President Epidemiology Society of Nigeria.
He has supervised over 80 graduate and undergraduate students, has written
and published over 130 publications. He has also attended and presented in
numerous local and international conferences.
He spearheaded the take-off of the Master of Public Health (MPH) Programme in the
Department of Community Medicine, ABU, Zaria. 1999, initiated and conceptualized
the take-off of COLNISA i.e. Community Nutrition Initiative Programme. He also
led the MPH Programme in Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme
in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health, Federal Ministry of
Agriculture, Centre for Disease Control (CDC) Atlanta.
He is the Foundation Provost of the College of Medical Sciences of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi,
Nigeria.
